Sanctuary is a quarterly newsletter focused on development topics specifically for animal welfare organizations. Every issue gives you:

     Researched articles on marketing, public relations, grants, volunteerism, friends groups, newsletters, graphic design and other topics as they seem worthwhile.
     Fundraising ideas for large and small events, sales and promotion, emergency needs.
     A complete direct mail piece, such as an appeal, an invitation, promotion, or other useful cause.

One of the most time-consuming and confusing aspects of running a nonprofit group is gleaning what kind of information is useful to you and what kind applies mainly to the "other guys." In many ways, the world of animal welfare is specialized and different from others. You have opportunities unique to the nature of being in the business of making life better for animals you dedicate yourself to protect.

We research the information that you can really use. We translate wordy and convoluted material into clear and concise articles, and often give you sources in which to find more of that information should you want to do further research on your own.

At the same time, we invite and encourage you and similar groups to donate your own expertise, descriptions of your successful events, and other stories that could be helpful to your friends in animal welfare causes. We also invite questions, and will do our very best to find the answers for you.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Animal welfare isn't a competitive business. There's no room for jealousy or one-upmanship, for greed or pettiness. Please join us in continuing to work for the betterment of all groups dedicated toward this worthy cause.
