This page had featured an article on weathergrams (featured in the photo to the right).
I received an email informing me that the use of weathergrams for anything except a celebration of nature is a contradiction to their original purpose. Also, I was told, the fact that I suggested they be used for promotional purposes (in this case, making the public aware of animal group causes and needs) and describing their construction and display is an example of copyright infringement. While I believe that such criticism may be true in the accusation that I broke the law, it also breaks my heart. Not that weathergrams can't be replaced by something equally appealing, and at the same time legal for promotional use - that's not the point. Whatever the point is, I can't go into it right now. In January we'll bring the site up to snuff. We can only attend to so many issues at once. Hang in there. |
